Financial Obligation Agreement Kean

Terms and Conditions: Any financial support designated as “estimated” on my grant and/or invoice does not constitute actual or guaranteed payments, but is an estimate of the assistance I can receive if I meet all the requirements of this assistance program. This Agreement is the entire agreement between me and Montclair State University with respect to my payment and enrollment obligations at the University and supersedes all prior agreements, representations, negotiations and correspondence between me and Montclair State University with respect to grants other than grantmaking, as evidenced by a separate agreement. This Agreement may not be modified or affected by any course of business or performance. Unless I am required to enter into another agreement on a student`s financial responsibility at the beginning of a academic year or semester, this agreement covers my current and future enrollment at Montclair State University. Montclair State University uses official MSU email as an authorized method of communication with students. All students are responsible for activating this account if they are accepted as students at MSU. Failure to enable official email does not release students from their financial obligations to the university. Therefore, students are responsible for reading the emails they receive from MSU in a timely manner, even if classes do not take place. Financial support – Financial support, including grants, student or parental loans, and scholarships, can be used to offset education expenses.

If your fees exceed your financial support, you`ll need to pay the balance before the due date or sign up for a payment plan to avoid your schedule expiring. I acknowledge and understand that my absence or non-participation in courses or my failure to receive an invoice from Montclair State University does not postpone due dates and does not release me from my financial obligations to the University. I understand that I have to take steps to fall or withdraw. I also acknowledge that certain programs, such as study abroad, online programs, guaranteed fee programs, and other special programs, may have separate and unique personalization policies with respect to their individual program costs, and that I am also responsible for complying with any specific financial responsibilities set forth in the respective terms and conditions of this program that I accept. This mission statement and accompanying document describe the terms of the financial responsibilities and obligations associated with attending Montclair State University. International Bank Transfer – International students can make payments of funds by visiting: kean.flywire.com. The awarding of grants depends on continued enrolment and participation in each class on the basis of which eligibility was calculated. The cancellation of a course prior to completion may result in a decrease in eligibility and the cancellation of some or all of the grant awarded. If some or all of the financial aid is cancelled because it cancelled, withdrew or did not attend classes, the student will refund any cancelled stipend paid into the account resulting in a balance that has been refunded. The document states that students are responsible for dropping out/withdrawing classes they do not wish to attend.

Students are informed that if they cancel or withdraw all or part of the courses they enroll in, they will be responsible for paying all or part of the fees under the published refund plan, which states that a 100% adjustment will only be available for cancelled courses before the end of the add/remove period. Another failure to attend classes or check an invoice does not release students from their financial responsibility as described above. Registration is only completed after full funding of the courses enrolled. By enrolling in courses at Montclair State University and/or receiving a service from the University, I assume full responsibility for paying all tuition fees, fees and other related costs assessed as a result of my registration and/or receipt of services on the due date. These amounts I owe may be an obligation that is not excusable in the event of bankruptcy. This includes, but is not limited to, tuition, mandatory tuition, accommodation and meals, health insurance, dormitory penalties, parking fines, late fees, and any other special fees charged to my account. Students must meet financial obligations or courses may be unsubscribed. If I am younger than the age of majority applicable at the time of performance of this Agreement, I agree that all or part of the services provided by Montclair State University are a necessity and I am contractually obligated to pay for them and may not cancel this Agreement. Tuition plans – You can choose to spread your education expenses on equal monthly payments.

COVID-19. The novel coronavirus, or anything that develops from it (COVID-19), is a life-threatening disease that has been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization. The contagious nature of COVID-19 means that contact with other people or contact with surfaces exposed to the virus can lead to infection. To prevent infection and subject to limited exceptions, the university requires all staff, students and visitors to wear face coverings whenever they are in a building or whenever outside a building 6 feet away from another person cannot be maintained. New social distancing commitments in response to COVID-19 will force the university to reduce classroom capacity and could result in distance learning for some or all students. .
